Calcium sulfate whiskers can improve the fracture strength of gypsum boards; After 24 hours of natural curing with a 1% addition of whiskers, the fracture strength of gypsum board can reach 7.04 MPa, which is about 20% higher than that of the blank sample; Calcium sulfate whiskers can stably exist in the matrix gypsum after calcination pretreatment, and their morphology and crystal structure will not change. They closely combine with the matrix gypsum to form a spatial network structure, thereby improving the fracture strength of gypsum boards
